We’d heard so much about Croatia (especially Dubrovnik and Split) that we decided to take a private electric car tour of the city instead of walking around on our own. The tour was very, very expensive, but it took us to viewpoints we would never go to on our own, and it included a walking tour of old town. The whole place reminded us of a Game of Thrones set. If fact, it was one of the main places Game of Thrones was filmed!
While walking through a park, Peter found a Catholic mass going on and participated in a prayer. Then, we went to the coastline. Do you see “Peter” swimming in the ocean in one of the pics below? 😊
Croatia (particularly Dubrovnik and Split) has become the #1 tourist destination in the world, and it felt that way. Sometimes there were only a couple inches between us and another person, and afterward, Monica caught a nasty cold that progressed until we were in Budapest ten days later. While we want to return someday and see Dubrovnik, I think we’ll stay in a neighboring town to avoid the tourists!
